SRINAGAR: A motorcyclist was killed and five passengers were injured in separate accidents in the Kashmir valley today, official sources said.
They said a motorcyclist identified Suhail Ahmad was critically injured when a vehicle hit him at Naik Bagh on Srinagar-Nowgam road.
Suhail was immediately rushed to hospital where he was declared brought dead.
They said five passengers were injured when a cab, in which they were travelling, turned turtle at Dewathpora in south Kashmir district of Anantnag.
A labourer was killed when a stone hit him at a stone quarry in Srinagar, official sources said here today.
They said a labourer Abdul Majid Sheikh, a resident of Ramban, in Jammu region, was critically wounded when he was hit by a stone at Pantha Chowk stone quarry.
The injured was immediately rushed to S K Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS), where he died.
