SRINAGAR: A man who attempted rape on a minor girl in south Kashmir has been sent to hospital after being beaten up by enraged people.
Residents in Padgampora village were already kicking and punching Omer Ahmad Ganaie when the police came.
Ganaie, according to a police statement, had tried to rape a local minor girl.
The injured accused was taken to a local hospital, but was referred to capital Srinagar for treatment.
