SRINAGAR: A landslide triggered by heavy rains has killed a couple in Baramulla district of north Kashmir.
Muneer Ahmad, 44, and his wife Razeena Begum, 38, were hit by boulders in Dara Gutli village. They died on the spot.
Their bodies were later retrieved by local residents and the police.
The Press Trust of India writes that heavy rains have lashed parts of northern valley, forcing closure of the Srinagar-Muzaffarabad road connecting the two Kashmirs ruled each by India and Pakistan.
A peace bus started by the two countries passes through the route.
