SRINAGAR: Authorities Wednesday sealed three poultry farms in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district for supplying and selling dead chickens.
A district official had received repeated complaints from people following which he raided some poultry farms and recovered hundreds of dead and half dead chickens.
A local news agency, CNS also reports that the officer raided various shops at Pohu, Badobagh, Littar and other areas of the district and recovered half-dead chickens from the shopkeepers.
“We imposed fine on these shopkeepers and sealed at least three Poultry Farms,” Tehsildar Altaf Ahmed told the agency.
