SRINAGAR: Pakistan Army handed over body of a youth who was drowned in Kishan Ganga river after a tractor in which he was travelling fell into river, a police spokesman said here today.
He said a tractor on way to Teetwal from Chilyan in border area of Tangdhar skidded off the road and fell into river Kishan Ganga.
One Faraz Ahmad was drowned while another person travelling in the tractor Jaffer Ahmad Mir was injured.
Despite massive searches, the body of Faraz could not be recovered, he said adding that later help from Pakistan Army was sought to recover the body.
He said body of Faraz was handed over by Pakistan army to Army authorities and police on the LoC.
Later the body was handed over to his relatives for last rites, they said adding injured Mir was admitted to Sub District Hospital at Tangdhar.
