SRINAGAR: Eight people received burn injuries in the Kashmir valley, where three structures were gutted overnight, officials said on Saturday.
They said during the intervening night fire broke out at Wani Mohalla, Beerwah, in the central Kashmir district of Budgam.
Two houses in which five families were residing were gutted in the fire.
Officials said eight members of these families received burn injuries while saving their household goods. The injured were later admitted to hospital, they said, adding the cause of fire was not known.
In a separate incident, a house was partially damaged in a fire incident at Bagh-e-Ali Mardan Khan in the city outskirts. No one was injured.
