SRINAGAR: Lashing out at the coalition Government in Jammu and Kashmir for pushing the youth to the wall, senior politician and prominent lawyer, Bhim Singh, has said that at least 400 Kashmiris are languishing in different jails of the country.
Mr Singh, patron of the pro-India Panthers Party, said the youth were “suffering badly” at the hands of jail authorities.
He said that the youth have been falsely implicated by the authorities.
“I am not telling you as a politician but as a lawyer of Supreme Court. At least 400 Kashmiri youth have been implicated in false cases who are languishing in Jodhpur, Varanasi, Gujrat and other jails of India,” Mr Singh told a local news agency, CNS, over phone from New Delhi.
He added that “the irony is that jail authorities violated court orders and did not allow any lawyer or their family members to meet them freely.”
Mr Singh said that truth was the biggest causality in Kashmir “and as long as NC-Congress coalition rules the State, youth would be pushed to wall and lodged in jails.” (CNS)
