JAMMU: At least ten people were killed and 38 injured in two separate accidents across Jammu region, a police official here said.
“A mini bus on way from Reasi to village Panasa rolled down and plunged into a gorge this evening at around 1830 hrs in Reasi district,” a police spokesman here said.
He said nine people died on the spot and 16 got injured.
Police, the Army and locals on receiving information rushed to the spot and started the rescue operation.
Meanwhile, in a separate incident one person was killed and 22 injured when a mini bus they were travelling in skidded off and rolled down on the road in Bari Brahmana area of Samba district.
“One person died on the spot and 22 got injured when a mini bus they were travelling in this afternoon rolled down on the road in Bari Brahmana area,” police here said.
They said the mini bus was on way from village Ghou Manhasan to Thandi Khuyee.
“The injured were immediately shifted to the Government Medical College and Hospital,” he added.
